About Me

Hello! My name is Sophia Pacelli, and I’m a fourth-year student in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia, majoring in Health Promotion with minors in Global Health and Health Policy. Throughout my time at UGA, I have developed a deep passion for promoting health equity, preventive care, and community wellness. I am preparing to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant, where I can provide compassionate care and advocate for accessible health services for all populations.

My experiences both in and outside the classroom have shaped my commitment to improving health outcomes through education, service, and leadership. Through my involvement in organizations such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Minorities in Public Health, and Georgia DAZE, I have had the opportunity to engage with diverse communities and work toward creating inclusive health initiatives. Additionally, my volunteer work with Bright Paths and Sleeping in Heavenly Peace has allowed me to make a direct impact by supporting children and families in need.

I am particularly interested in community-based healthcare and programs that address social determinants of health. I enjoy working collaboratively to identify health disparities and develop strategies that promote long-term well-being. These experiences have strengthened my desire to pursue a career that combines clinical practice with public health outreach.

Thank you for visiting my ePortfolio. I look forward to continuing my journey in health promotion and hope to inspire positive change through preventive care and equity-driven service.
